I'm taking a life drawing class my teacher wanted us to either be really harsh for our self-portraits or to make something very interesting. Sooo, I have a life drawing book and it had a diagram of the proportions of the face relative to the eyes. I decided to do that but with my own visage.
My classmates and teacher encouraged me to add more eyes, so you get a cyclops one. Also since it was a diagram they said formulas and equations would be good for the background. The math-y stuff in the background all has to do with phi and the golden ratio. Also, a bit of equilateral triangle stuff. My handwriting is pretty messy so that adds to the might-be-a-serial-killer aspect. The background reminds me of a blackboard which I find compelling in a way.
I worked so long on this and it paid off. I'm proud of it, but it is a lot creepier than me personally...
